The decor was elegant, sophisticated, and warm. Atmosphere was pleasant. Lovely music. Service was impeccable. Friendly and efficient. Food was divine. The scallops were delicate with layers of flavour that explode in your mouth. The calamari coating was perfect in flavour and texture. Sauce delicious. Salad with perfect dressing and croutons that were light and crunchy and full of flavour rather than tasteless rocks. The crumbed camembert was of excellent quality but partnered perfectly with the decadent sauce. The level of presentation was right up there especially with the pork belly dish. My son not usually impressed with vegetables had to finish every last mouth full. The sauce with the pork belly was perfection apparently. Sticky date is often dry with the caramel sauce compensating. But the cake/pudding was moist and full of flavour. Ice cream and cream were of high quality also. With a restaurant like this portions are usually of a very small size. We were both pleasantly surprised with the generous servings. Told my son he needs to experience these high end classy restaurants occasionally. Thank you for proving me right. Not a cheap restaurant but you get what you pay for sometimes. Been a long time since I had such a quality experience. You can usually fault a restaurant with something. Such as service, food, decor, or atmosphere. But I could not find one fault. Probably not a restaurant to take smaller children to, but definitely an older child to broaden their horizon. Thank you for this experience I shared with my son.

The four of us had Sunday lunch and it was very special. We each had a different main dish, fillet steak, duck, Salmon and garlic prawns. All the food was outstanding and beautifully presented. The service from our host was attentive and spot on with everything. Wow and I thought a recent two hat chef was good. This restaurant is a treasure and right here In Ballarat.
