Love, love, love, love the Chunky Beef & Red Wine Pie .. visited on Mother’s Day .. great atmosphere .. staff are sensational .. we were greeted with s from all. IN OUR OPINION they are most definitely the Best Pies in Australia .. better than Goldstein’s in Queensland, Valentine’s and many others we’ve tried. Here in Oz on a business trip. This is the third Gum Tree Pie Shop I have visited. They have all been excellent. Super good food, reasonably priced and courteous service at all three (Yackandandah, Beechworth and Wadonga). The chicken and mushroom is my favorite so far! Buttery flaky top crust and I haven’t had one with a soggy bottom yet. Just right!

Situated in a mock train carriage at Junction Square 100m walk from food pods or park behind old railway buildings. Just love the Green Thai curry pie. Full meal in one pie! Staff were attentive. Meat eater heaven with chunky Lamb or Steak pies. (See photos for full menu) Plenty of outdoor seating and good historic train photos on billboard size panels that give mood. Good for photos with kids.

Cannot fault these pies, my favourite panang pumpkin, you dont even miss the meat as the flavour is ridiculous. Be quick as after 1pm you may not get your first choice for lunch.
