This restaurant is your quintessential country Chinese restaurant. I define the food as westernised Chinese. But don’t think this is bad food. In fact ‘westernised’ just means you know exactly what your going to get! It took me back to when I was a kid growing up. Tasty and fun for a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Sadly I thought the place looked nice but both my husband and myself felt the food was very ordinary and dry .. the fried rice meat was hard and the fried dim sums were hard and old tasting . I didn’t take pics because I wasn’t going to put up a review but I felt I needed to for families that work hard for their money . I hope this was a one off experience for the sake of their business .

We dined here from out of town. Although the service was friendly it had to be the worst chinese we’ve ever had. Chicken and corn soup was like glue, all the entrees were the same meat just shaped different, beef in blackbean was horribly tasteless, chicken skewers were stringy and bland, fried rice was dry and crunchy. Best part was the banana fritters and fried icecream. Most definitely do no recommend.

We had the most amazing meal from the Great Gourmet Inn. We weren’t sure what to do for dinner after a show at the arts centre and we are so happy we stumbled upon this great restaurant. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Yummy food with excellent service and hospitality. Highly recommend to everyone who loves Chinese food in the area.

Very Average. Don’t order the Chinese steak dish for $24 it was frightful and went in the bin. The garlic combo was watery and full of onion so was the pork entre that cost $10. Shirt soup and honey prawns were edible.
