Stayed in Alexandra over night from Melbourne. Got a coffee in the morning on my way back to Melbourne. I assumed that this cafe would have average coffee, as normally is the case in most country towns. Coming from Melbourne where the coffee is amazing, I can honestly say that the coffee from here was one of the best I’ve had. Smooth and the flavour was perfect. To go with that, the girl that served me was so bubbly and friendly. Highly recommended.

Awesome place for brunch on our way back to Melbourne from ski trip. Quality of the food was excellent and the soy milk latte perfect ( am very fussy). Highly recommended.

Let me tell you that we travelled nearly 100kms just to have the Gnocchi again at The Grant Street Grocer within a week.

Very limited menu choice, about 7-8 dishes you can choose from for breakfast and lunch menu, food quality is ok but very overpriced. Service is the worst part of the experience as the older lady in pink glasses who takes orders is very rude and unhelpful, you feel like you are constantly getting judged for your food choices, she holds some kind of superiority over you like she’s from Toorak and you are just a peasant, definitely agree with previous comments that they need better customer service training, I would not recommend this place, would give negative stars if I could.

Make sure to drop by, Amazing place to grab a bite, serve breakfast and lunch. Love the food and really tasty. Everything local made and local produced. Bread making in-house really tasty and crunchy.. yum. Friendly staff and environment. Very casual and boutique style. Clean ++. Pickup the menu and order at the counter. Enjoy!

I never normally leave reviews, but the roasted tomatoes was one of best breakfasts I’ve ever had and deserves 5 stars! And that’s compared to many coveted Melbourne brunch spots. Will definitely be back next time we are in town!

We drove over 100km round trip for a birthday lunch based on the online menu. The menu version we received was a pared back version with a number of items missing and several others amended but not updated online.

Out of town customers on business, came in for breakfast ordered coffee and bacon and egg rolls asked to be seated at a table, our name got called out for the food and have been told we can’t sit and eat at the Cafe we have to find elsewhere to enjoy our meals mind you quater of the Cafe had people sitting at a table. Disgusting because I’m not a local I get treated differently.
