The place looks nice. Food? Some are OK, some are not. It is well presented to be fair. It’s pricey for what you are getting. The service was not good either. We asked the server about the food/drinks and she just said “Oh I don’t Know”. Two of the waiters we asked doesn’t seem to know what they’re serving and not knowing what they are doing. Honestly it’s not what I expected. All in all not the best experience.

Gorgeous venue. We had drinks and canapes as a get together meet and greet before a wedding.

Was quite noisy in a small room with lots of people. The menu didn’t really appeal to me. Too many unusual items and not enough regular choices. Took a long time after ordering before serving commenced but then all diners were served together. Drinks were quite expensive.

For a Toowoomba institution, I think this restaurant is relying very much on history and the marquee location.

My wedding was here in late February. It was the weekend it flooded.. even though we had booked a garden wedding, Cath (coordinator) was amazing at pulling off an indoor wedding. Not only was it so intimate and beautiful, the food was absolutely amazing.

The service was friendly and the food absolutely outstanding. The Moreton Bay Bug Ravioli had a great blend of flavours and textures, and the sauce was very flavoursome. Had a wonderful time.

We chose this place due to its description in the local guides re being situation in a old mansion. The actual restaurant is based next to the main building and does not offer the same old charm. We waited a fair bit for our meals which is understandable given that it was the flower festival, however we did not expect it to be that long. We would have appreciated a heads up as we were quite hungry. I had the beetroot gnocchi which was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend it. The rest of the group enjoyed the steak, beef burger and cumber veal special, however the latter was a small portion. The drinks were good, except for the cider. The service was however lacking.
