What a cracker! Delicious food, great, fast and friendly service, a lovely ambience and atmosphere and lovely setting. We had the Christmas in July menu and some a la carte dishes. Not the greatest serve of meats, but nice. Definitely go!

What a beautiful venue to have afternoon tea.. It’s bright, sunny, spacious and warm. We have chicken pie, scones and coffee which are really good and we totally enjoy them. We also order chocolate ice cream sundae, too sweet, very rich and too much cream, can’t taste the ice cream at all. The staff very attentive and give excellent service. Will be back.

Lovely place in the Dandenong Ranges. Great location and food. Friendly atmosphere and staff. We got married here in January 14th 2023. A fantastic day and all of our guests had a wonderful time. The staff food and service was superb.

Sticky date pudding is the best here! I came here on Wednesday 1130hrs, my colleague and I were the only ones at first put it started filling up soon after. Place wasn’t packed but at least half the place was full, surprising for mid-week but that’s how popular this place is.

This is a great restaurant with good parking (but can get busy on weekends). We always phone ahead and book but you could just arrive and try your luck. The food is of good quality and varied. My wife loves the fact there is a gluten free menu with a large number of dishes to choose from. Prices are more than fair for both food and wine. Staff were polite and efficient. So in summary if you want a good meal with cute surrounds in the great village of Sassafras – try this place.

Having to buy a cup of tea separately from the Devonshire ‘tea’ scones, was a bit rich. The felafel burger was seriously overpriced and arrived with no salad and a sprinkle of fries. The falafels were more veg Pattie, than crispy Lebanese. The similarly priced fish and chips came with a good garden salad.
