Fish and potato cake both very nice. The spring roll turned out to be chhinese restaurant style spring roll with sachet of soy sauce, which I really enjoyed.

Not the flipping fresh we all once loved. The flake was dry and small in size it used to be fresh and batter light and crispy the flathead was also dry and one of the potato cakes didn’t have any potato making it just a deep fried flour cake.

Went here as Bell St F&C was closed. Ordered fried buttterfish, grilled flathead tails, calamari, and chips. Was told 15 minutes. Came back 15 mins later and was told “it’s just cooking now”. 20 minutes later, food was ready . I think they forgot something, like the grilled, as some of the food was in a heating cupboard. The fried butterfish was decent – tasty and thin batter, but had steamed a bit so was soft and fell apart a bit too easily. Calamari rings were unsalted, and had a strange texture, possibly due to the steaming, and were left mostly uneaten. Grilled flathead was nice. Chips were pretty good. Only one lemon wedge was provided, with the flathead tails, as it was in a pack (with chips and tartare sauce), can’t remember if this could have been a paid extra

We got takeaway fish n chips here tonight, and overall the food was pretty good. Scallops pretty big compared to normal, and everything else was pretty standard. Did have items missing from the order, so a bit disappointing, make sure to double check you’ve received everything.
