Having tried a few other Chinese restaurants in Tasmania, this one really suits my tastebud. The stir fried egg plant is definitely worth ordering, the egg plant skin is crispy and the meat is soft and tasty. There is one more dish I love the most, Sliced beef in sour & spicy soup, it is so good that I forgot to take picture of it once it is on my table. Definitely come back here again!

A fun fact I learned about Launceston is that it is an UNESCO City of Gastronomy, one out of two in Australia. But that certainly doesn’t apply to Chinese cuisine because our New Year dinner at Feast Restaurant and Bar was disastrous.

Delicious Chinese food, plenty of options. Flavoursome with decent servings. Great wine list to accompany the food menu. Staff are very helpful, attentive, and professional. Busy, good to book where possible. Parking available. Hidden gem away from the main road. Wonderful dinner, would go again in a heartbeat.

After working/traveling all day I was after some nice local take away, and after walking past this place I am glad I chose here for my evening meal. The host was very friendly, and I ordered and the steamed prawn dumplings and main twice cooked Scottsdale pork belly. Both items ready to go after 10 mins. I was offered a beer while I waited, and the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the pork dish. The one star review from 2 months ago is fake, as there is a similar one on trip advisor on a restaurant next door to this. Here is a real review from a real account

Was an absolutely gorgeous place to dine in. The dishes are fresh and yum, rich in flavour but not too oily and salty. The staff are welcoming and professional. Highly recommended if you into authentic Chinese cuisines and a fancy place.

Review is more like 1.5 stars. Squirrel fish was lacking depth of flavour. Veggies portion was small for $20+ dollars. If you’re from Syd or Melbs this is nothing special but hits the spot of Chinese cuisine without being too whitewashed

Food quantity is exceptionally small. For what you pay, you’re not getting your money worth. I personally wouldn’t be back here. 2 dishes came to 60 bucks! Wasn’t enough at all. Other Asian cuisines restaurants around that’s much better and better service. The wait staff just argues with you as well if you hurry them up and no apology. Been back and forth and food quantity is now so little not worth it anymore.

Only visiting Launceston for a week but I enjoyed the mapo tofu here enough to go back and get it again. Their congee is tasty and full of umami. Their prawn dumplings are a bit expensive but have delicious prawn chunks.
