I went into this place and asked for a Steak and Kidney pie. I sat in store and grabbed a fork to eat it. It didn’t taste like it had Kidney in it. So I dug around and did not find any at all. I took it back to the counter and the fellow said that as the top had been destroyed by me and that he can’t identify it. That a steak and kidney has two stripes on it. I said that it did have two stripes and I then asked for a replacement, which he gave me. I then peeled the top off to see if there was any kidney in it. There wasn’t! So I took it back to the counter and told him. He then said that it was probably a purêé. I said, no that’s can’t not a steak & kidney pie. That’s false advertising. To which he started to say that they are responsible for the contents?? I got a refund and left the store. Best pies in Central Queensland? Definitely not!!

Great locally owned bakery with food baked fresh in store every day. Very well priced for such good quality. Always very friendly. 5/5 stars any day of the week and the only bakery you should go to in Emerald.
