Disappointing experience with the food and service. While the atmosphere was enjoyable, the quality and presentation of the food did not match the price. I found certain dishes and aspects of the service to be lacking. However, I believe the restaurant could benefit from constructive feedback in order to improve in these areas. Overall, the ambience of the place was pleasant, but the food and service left something to be desired.

Went there on a weekday for a pre-booked birthday lunch. Had a great experience with awesome atmosphere, wonderful service and French cuisine. We had the set menu (one withe dessert) and two wines. Definitely recommend the Salmon entry and steak main ($25 extra). Parking is tricky. The parking along Chapel Street is 1 hour and parking off Chapel street is 2 hours. However, it is walking distance to Prahran train station if you can catch public transport. There are a few stairs to get into the pre-booked dinning area. But there is a walk in area starlight after you got in the front door with good wheelchair accessibility. It is definitely a place for special occasions and the lunch set menu is wallet friendly as far as a fine French restaurant dining experience is concerned.

Absolutely stunning venue. Love the opulence and style. It really makes a huge impact. Food was good – soufflé was disappointing, not seasoned quite enough, not fluffy.

The steak and fries did not disappoint !! The snails weren’t too bad and their dessert portion size is huge – had a lunch seating so it definitely was too heavy. Was seated in the courtyard and just perfect to be out there in the summer.

I had a great evening at Entrecote. The service was friendly, quick, and courteous. Your sommelier was particularly helpful. He guided me with my choices to ensure the meal was the best it could be. The food was served quickly and was full of flavour and generous in its servings. The duck, the potato, and the chocolate were wonderful. Easily some of the best French food I have eaten. The atmosphere transported me to France and complimented the service and the food. Thank you for a fantastic evening, one I will remember for years to come. Chris from Canberra.

Thank you so much to the amazing team at Entrecôte! You have definitely made our day very memorable. My friends and I had a blast celebrating in the bright and airy courtyard. The food was delish and well presented, ambience was elevated with pianist in the background, but the impeccable service really left an impression on us all. Highly recommend, and see you again soon!

This is a very pleasant restaurant indeed. The ambience is super and staff were very nice. We had a number of different dishes and collectively we rated the steak(s) as the best dish of the day. The Gippsland beef eye fillet, Sarawak pepper & Cognac cream sauce is worth paying a little extra for. The French onion soup with Gruyère cheese was superb yet the brûlée scallops and escargots scored only 4 point as some guests claimed they have had better. When asked about the duck the guest answered “I will try something else next time”. Don’t get me wrong when I asked if we would come back the unanimous consensus was a resounding “yes”. So for me it was a successful outing. The wine list is extensive and a chap playing piano added to the occasion. I suggest getting transport to the restaurant as parking is limited. In summary this place is a must do.

Beautiful venue with tasty french food and really awesome, eccentric staff. Great fine dining experience, loved the piano in the main dining hall and overall vibe of this place. I would recommend the set menu and especially the steak, can’t go wrong there as we were practically rolling out of the restaurant
