It was busy on a Monday night when we arrived at 6.30pm. There was a line at the door and we had to wait 10mins to be seated for our reservation. Food took a while as well. Lasagne main portion was small. Salami board was nice and we had a few pizzas to share.

Birthday catch-ups on a weeknight and the place was heaving so much so that we ended up on an upstairs table. Between the 7 of us we ordered 6 pizzas and a couple of salads along with a a selection of great drinks. Pizzas were quality Italian with great selection of toppings but we only ever had 5/6 delivered and charged for so a mix up in the ordering… 5 was ample anyway.

I’ve never done this before but I’m sick & tired of paying good money for takeaway food and getting below par service! I paid $33 for a pizza from Doc, Carlton. I saw the young male waiter struggling to put the pizza box sideways in a paper bag with handles so he upended the pizza box and put in from the top and handed me the bag by the handles so the pizza was sideways. I placed the pizza so it was flat but should have checked it before I left. I walked a couple of minutes to my hotel and opened the pizza in my room. The entirety of the toppings were all at one end of the pizza making it very soggy whilst the other end was crunchy. The pizza was still okay to eat and tasted good so I’ll give them credit for that. Who doesn’t know to keep a pizza flat? I know, real world problems! I’ll go to Doc tomorrow and show the manager photos so he/she can educate their staff on the proper handling of pizzas!

I had craving for pizzas after I had really really nice pizza in Gold Coast. While coming back home from the airport, I just wanted to randomly pick something popular and had high google review ratings to fulfill my cravings. DOC was the one popped up. However, the experience was not so satisfying.

I have no idea how this place has such high reviews! I ordered a pizza but there was hardly any meat on it (see photos) and it was extremely over priced. The pizza dough was nice on the edges but in the middle it was super soggy.
