The first time we went the food and service was good. Just went again tonight, everything tasted very bland, however we got the soft shell crab Bao and it was inedible. It tasted like the oil the soft shell crab was fried in has never been changed. It only had one bite taken and the bite was spat out on the plate next to it. We told the waitress and she just said the word sorry but nothing else and we were charged for it along with a 1% surcharge, not sure what that was for and no sign about why there would be a surcharge. We wouldn’t come back, especially for the cost ($134 for 2 people) for example $28 for fried rice is a bit excessive..

Went to District 1 last night for the 3rd time and again disappointed with the outcome. Though I would treat myself and order the crab only to get a beautiful carb meal with nothing to crack it open. So ended up having a small bowl of steamed rice for dinner. Would have preferred the crab de-shelled even wait an extra hour like my last 2 meals. It’s sad as the flavours are amazing but I with 3 out of 3 bad experiences I don’t know if I could ever go back considering each time has been with 3 – 10 people and have paid the full price every time it’s like they don’t care and know they are going to have an issue every night

Good ambiance tasty meals staff were quick and always have a ready smile. Meals prices are affordable and alright for special occasions but not on a daily basis – but I’m sure plenty customers because of the food quality. Have enjoyed our meals and would come back again

The best pho in the Adelaide, the soup is delicious, and the rice noodles are smoother than anywhere else! Quail is also recommended.
