we stayed at the Rydges and had breakfast daily (which was pretty good) and one buffet dinner. the dinner was a little disappointing, with some quite average food but a few options. i don’t think it’s good value unless you like oysters.

Breakfast is decent, but pricey for what you get. Would love to see a bigger variety of options available. The didn’t even have mushrooms or scrambled eggs available last time we went. Freshly made omelettes were good, though.

The buffet is absolutely amazing. Everything you want fresh seafood and meat cooked in front of you how you like it. The chefs do a amzing job of managing your dish and expectations. Have to recommend the garlic prawns and the beef with a little extra seasoning.

Fire and ice Seafood night is nice enough – you can eat as much as you like and have calamari, prawns, Reef fish and steak(ettes) cooked for you. There’s no other seafood apart from prawns, oysters, mussels, Reef fish and smoked salmon, though. There are a couple of curries and salad things. Service is pretty good though.

Service is friendly but the food here is a literal joke. I have been to buffets $20 cheaper than this with about 500% more option. Very very low standard of produce – honestly wondered if half of it was from frozen bags from woolies. Not to mention it’s $65 and they only have orange and apple juice available to drink?? Looollll no thanks. Will not be coming back – can get a 70s style dinner down at the pub for $10 – and it’s the same thing really. Food was so lame that I sat writing this review instead of eating.
