Just wandered on in tonight at 9:07 and after saying hey still open? I got told no we are closed. I asked at 9pm? (Sat night day light savings). The young guy behind the bar gave me a very loud and aggressive YES! I then turned to Conrad who was standing in the entrance hall and said hey nice to see you again. He looked at my feet and closed the door forcing me out. I stood there absolutely floored at what had just happened. I have eaten at Conrads over 20 times and I am disappointed at the lack of respect I was shown. A simple unfortunately we are closed with a smile would have sufficed.

The meals were very nice, up to the standard l would expect for the price, but the corkage and the next surprise. . Plus gst! To be honest, surely this should have been included in the menu pricing. Or even written on it. When I questioned the waitresses she said it had always been like that but not included in take away, Really? Well I hate hidden cost’s so we won’t be back.

Tonight I had, along with my wife and two small children, the worst dining experience ever at Conrads. We did not try the food so cannot comment on it, but we waited for over an hour for our order which never arrived. We walked out after 2 tables which arrived 30 minutes after us were served. It was a truly disappointing experience, and not the first bad experience we had at Conrads. The worst part of tonight was the fact that even the staff were embarrassed that they were serving tables in front of ours, and knew that we were becoming angry. It was unbelievable that they charged us for our drinks, and the owner made excuses as to why are food hadn’t come.
