Lovely evening. Service was very good and attentive. The food was excellent and visually beautiful. They went the extra mile when they found out it was our anniversary and sent out a plate with Happy Anniversary and chocolates. I love the entry which looks the original homestead.

It was quite disappointing as none of the foods satisfied us and I could really taste of bland meat – we expected an experience for this price point, especially main dishes. The atmosphere was antique and warm but that was it. When they serve the food, we didn’t know much about details as no explanation.

Amazing location for a wedding! There are no less than three different locations on the property for your ceremony, the Wisteria Garden being my personal favourite, especially later in the afternoon, the sun sets behind the ceremony spot. The vintage warm wooden vibes of the main house are beautiful, there is an outside dancefloor and with The Convent Boutique hotel about 200 meters down the road it’s a short buggy drive to your ceremony. The food and wine selection is always top shelf!

The food was fantastic, every drop down to the sauces and sides. Service was very welcoming, warm, and professional. The atmosphere of the heritage/industrial luxury vibe was one of the highlights as a must visit restaurant in the Hunter Valley to bring someone special. Even family seating was available and catered for. All in all, it was an amazing experience and will be going back again.

I had high expectations for my dinner at Circa as I had heard lots of great reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was not the same. Some of the dishes were good, but not all. Most of the staff were friendly, but the level of service was not what I expected. I had listed dietary requirements when booking and mentioned again to my first server, but was then served a dish that contained food I couldn’t eat. Staff were more occupied with cleaning and setting up new tables than serving. Unfortunately, mine was an underwhelming visit to Circa.

The food is delicious and the staff is friendly, but it’s overpriced for what you get. When spending more than $200 per person I expect something spectacular, but the dishes, though cooked perfectly we’re quite traditional. Furthermore the Boxing Day set menu was more suitable for winter than summer.
