I’ve been here multiple times and keep forgetting to review this place. China Max has always served the best quality food every time I’ve been there. The lobster was cooked perfectly and super tasty. As some of the reviews have already mentioned, their fried rice is so very good!! They have had it tough over Covid due to shortage of staff. It’s a shame to read some of the reviews commenting about their customer service. They have been so friendly and attentive on every occasion I’ve been there

I’m generally fairly forgiving with Chinese food but the satay skewers were hard and dry and the dim sims were were shrivelled and the wrapping around them seemed odd and slimy. One of the soups was like an odd collection of everything they could find thrown into a container and the other soup had a nice stock but inexplicably had chunks of raw tomato and pineapple floating around in it, not sure what kind of Chinese food that is. The mains were both very bland. I hadn’t had Chinese food in a long while and was looking forward to this, was very disappointed.

Just received did a delivery order – chicken and corn soup amazing!! The Mongolian Beef was absolutely awful. No taste at all – full of cornflour that was not processed in the sauce. Very disappointing .

Never thought a meal would ruin my Thursday like this had. I was in the mood for some chinese and as china max used to be my favourite spot as a kid i thought id give them a try after it has been a few years. Im very disappointed and had to throw out enough food to keep a few sponsor children full but even then i dont think they would be happy to eat it. Beef and black bean should be called beef and water as there is no flavor whatsoever and the beef tastes cheap and is grey. Ripped off and hungry, will not be coming here again.

ChinaMax has certainly changed for the worst. I hadn’t been to China Max for a few years but I decided to get takeaway which I was looking forward to. After paying $47 for rice and 1 dish, I was so disappointed with the quality of the food, the fried rice was bland and tasteless, the steak was tough and again little flavour. If these place are going to charge premium prices they need to provide quality food. Never again China Max. Rip-off .

China max used to be better. Feels a bit tired. The food has slipped a bit. Pre-covid, we got takeaways quite often for 6 years. Just got my first China Max takeaway post Covid two years, & they seem to be a bit average. I’ll still go back a few more times, might have been a one off.

Last night my husband and I ventured out for our first dine in meal since covid began. I am so glad we chose China Max for this occasion as the meal and the customer service was exceptional. We chose the Banquet A which consisted of a soup, an entree, 2 mains, special fried rice and a dessert. The courses came out steadily throughout the evening and the servings were more than generous. A great evening that I cannot recommend enough.

Nice big restaurant. Friendly waiter was handling the customers well. Rice portions we ordered were big. Actually it is enough for two people. Food is quite tasty.
