Was visiting Townsville and looked up Uber East for a pizza. Was very happy we found Checkers. Ordered supreme and garlic bread. Loved it. If you are a big eater, it would be best to get 2.

We are regulars here and enjoy the pizzas, but tonight when I ordered drinks they only had 370ml Coke Zero in glass bottles and charged me $6 each for them. I questioned this price a couple of times and the young lady was adamant that the price was correct and was due to the glass bottle. 600ml plastic bottle is $5. This is a ridiculous mark up.

Checkers Pizza is a fantastic little pizzeria with alfresco dining. The staff are so welcoming, and all staff were smiles. The pizzas are all made with fresh prepared toppings and heaps of them. Refer to the attached photos of two of the selections.

Came across this little gem whilst walking the Strand in Townsville. These guys serve up a delicious pizza with plenty of toppings for only $15. Well worth the trip if you’re in the Townsville area.

Pizza is ok but variable quality so never sure if will be a good or mediocre one. In the couple of months, not sure what has happened but staff have become increasingly rude and unhelpful, and the pizza is never ready when it says it will be. This is the third time of my order being delayed by 20-30 minutes with no apology. Poor customer service and will avoid in future.

2nd best pizza I’ve had in Townsville. Meatlovers was lovely and crust just perfect, more on the thin size, so you don’t fill up on bread.
