A very relaxing place to enjoy a great meal & yet the staff here makes you feel spoiled and pampered. Enjoyed Father’s Day here today with the family and my Dad. I love coming here and I always will. Thank you to all the staff for making my Dad feel as special as he is.

This was my first time here and I was reasonably happy with the food and service. I too wondered what to do about menus when I was lining up but I just grabbed one off a table and read it while I shuffled forward in the line. The menu seemed OK but not imaginative. I guess people here just want “normal” cafe food. The lady at the counter was cheerful and polite. I found a nice spot to sit outside. Plenty of space here and I could have chosen inside if I had wanted. Atmosphere was airy and cheerful. The coffee came quickly and was of good quality. I had ordered the steak sandwich, which came before long. The steak sandwich was average to above average although I did find the steak itself to be somewhat “steamed” rather than grilled, as there was very little caramelisation on the surface of the meat. The chips were good. So was the bread, and the salad was fine. All in all, not bad, although it cost me $30.45 for the sandwich plus large coffee, which I thought a tad on the high side. Summary: a little more passion in how to cook a steak and that would have raised this place to one that I would definitely feel like going back to, even though a little pricey.

This is lovely venue at Karalee, with both space to eat inside and outside. Nice to have a venue that is also a book/gift shop. Larger groups would be able to dine in.
