Just popped in during the day on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. Nice looking place but limited options during the day. A sports bar is the only option, but not great if you want somewhere quiet to sit. There is a nice outside area but this is a smokers area too. It took a while to get service and you can’t sit in the bistro because the bar is not staffed.

Havnt been here for ages and so much has changed. Lunch in the bistro was fantastic with actual table service in a club. The Aussie parma was the thickest I’ve ever had, we couldn’t finish our meals. You have to try.

We’ve been here several times previously but will not return after our poor experience tonight. We had an early dinner reservation so it was still pretty quiet, and even by the time we left the restaurant was less than half full, so there was no excuse for poor service. Despite that, poor service was what was on offer.

Had dinner here on a weekend where our table had more than 10 people. The way they took our orders was organised however all orders were sent to the table almost at the same time, about after an hour. It’s a busy night so that’s fine. Ordered seafood risotto which was great but a bit salty. Will still come back here next time to try their other dishes.

So disappointed. Visited last Wednesday with friends. We’re regular local customers of over 11 years. Initially we had 2 separate waitstaff asking the same questions. Clearly they were unsure which tables they were responsible for. Our friend asked for a double spirit drink only to be told curtly that he couldn’t have a double (he hadn’t had any drinks prior), as it was hotel policy. So he ordered two separate glasses instead for himself (go figure!) Water never arrived. Drinks and starters arrived in good time. Nothing special though. Then… nothing. No waitstaff at all attending us. No one told us anything . Waited over an hour when finally one of our guests got up and asked one of the staff where our order was. He was told “the gas bottle for cooking has run out and the chef’s waiting for a new one to be able to cook our meals. Surprising? You bet. Finally the meals arrived. The seniors meals in the past have been delicious and of a good size. This time the seniors fish and chips came with 2 very small, very mediocre fish. Two bits of corn, no other veges not even a garnish. When asked why the fish was so small the waitress talked to the chef who said that’s the normal size (not much larger than an average chip) but that we could have a free coffee to compensate By now we’d been there a long time. We asked for complementary drinks which were provided during the long wait. but to be honest, we just wanted decent food, served within a reasonable time! Such a shame that it has really gone downhill.
