Stopped off for dinner on our way through from Victoria to Queensland and gotta say food quality was top notch. Way more bang for your buck compared to the big chains. Not shy at all on toppings. Got a pizza and a set of over loaded fries and can I say. Not disappointed. Definitely worth the couple minute detour. If we are in the area will definitely be stopping off again. Only thing I would like to see is a couple sets of tables and chairs out front but that’s just me being picky!

I’ve been to loads of takeaway shops all over the Lower Hunter, and Bonjani beats them all. I’ve been there many times, and I’ve never been disappointed even once. The chips are crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and not greasy like most places. They also actually mix/stir the salt through your chips properly, instead of just salting the chips at the top and handing them to you like most places seem to do these days. The burgers are excellent, and they sell the richest gravy you’ll find at a takeaway. On top of all that, they’re just nice, friendly people, as well.

Brought two pizzas that were very expensive, one a ham and pineapple(Hawaiian) and the other a ham and cheese, got them exited to try woodfire pizza but was very disappointed. Both had cheap undercooked small chopped up pieces of bacon instead of ham and the base was so floppy and the sauce was near non existent. They could have been cooked in an oven as there was no sign or taste that it had been done in a woodfire oven. We won’t go back there as Pizza HQ around the corner was way better and a third of the price.

I arrived with a list of alterations I needed for my pizza – food intolerances and stuff – and they were right on it. They knew what I meant and made a great pizza with alternative ingredients. I didn’t have to explain anything. I think they might know a thing or two about intolerances.

The majority of the menu can be made gluten free and should also be safe for Coeliac, best to mention if you are before ordering. Owner is Coeliac and very knowledgeable, super friendly!!!

They have lots of GLUTEN FREE..from burgers to pluto pups & chips . This burger was a works burger and about 5 to 6 inches across & a decent price too.
