we went all out trying 3 entrees, 2 pizzas and 2 desserts. They don’t offer pasta on weekdays, otherwise we would have tried that too. Everything was quite bland. I was excited to try the house made bread with the entree, however it was cut so thin (as pictured) and then toasted and butter on it, there’s no way to taste the bread itself. The potato croquet was just plain potato, no flavour at all – tasted like a hash brown, not something I’d choose to eat with dinner and the arancini ball was over cooked on the outside with the rice hard on the inside.. underwhelmed with the entree, but open minded for the pizza. Pizza came and it was really missing flavour. The dough is delicious (which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1), but it needs some sort of flavour on top. Apple strudel for dessert has more nuts than apple in it. A lot left to be desired. Our bottle of water was dirty on the inside (pictured)

Celebrate birthday with friends together today. We booked the high tea at the Blue Velvet. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. We have a good combination of food, desserts, coffee & tea. Tiramisu & Affogato are so so delicious. Highly recommended!

Wow how can you describe this place I’ve traveled Asia America Europe and Australia this is easily the best pizza I have ever eaten. To top it off the desserts are amazing the food so cheap they should actually charge more. Wow wow wow what an experience amazing staff an 11/10 restaurant my absolute favourite. The best in the state in my professional opinion

Amazing! Best pizza I’ve had in Adelaide! Great service too! It truly shows that the owners put effort into making quality pizza with great ingredients! Even the pizza crust taste good! Can definitely recommend this restaurant. They have a good range of desserts, tea and coffee too. Thoroughly enjoyed the pizza!

Vibrant and cozy restaurant serving a variety of pizzas and desserts. Pizzas are oval, large sized with generous toppings perfect for sharing. The dough is soft and chewy and digests pretty fast. Felt full quickly but got hungry quickly too. The flavours were very subtle, and taste healthy. They weren’t oily. Best flavour was the salami and olives, smoked salmon.. Mushroom made the pizza really wet. Too much moisture from the mushrooms. Flavour was not bad. Could add a little bit more salt to all the dishes. Croquettes were crunchy and decent sized. But could also use a bit more salt. Pizza fritta was not bad. Need to serve the pizzas with a pizza cutter, had trouble cutting up the pizzas with our knives. Cakes look good, hope to try those someday!

My family and I went to blue velvet one night to have a classic Italian pizza as we’ve done multiple times prior. Initially the service was amazing, friendly staff, quick service and as usual the pizza was ready within 10minutes of ordering. The pizzas were incredible but my father found a hair in his pizza. Not an issue as mistakes happen and the lady that saw us was very apologetic. When paying for the order however the other waitress tried to charge us for the pizza as “you had almost eaten it all”. My father told them that we were not paying for a pizza with a hair in it for obvious reasons. The chef then came over and tried to allude that my bald father put the long blonde hair in his own pizza and after denying a few times went in my fathers face saying “hit me, hit me”

I celebrated my baby shower here, and I cannot recommend Blue Velvet Artisan Pizza & Pastry enough The high tea was absolutely delicious with everything so authentic & handmade, the variety of teas available were beyond amazing and just the overall atmosphere made the entire experience so enjoyable. Thank you so much again to the accomodating and kind staff, we all had a wonderful time and will definitely be back ☺️

Fabulous authentic Italian experience. Super friendly staff, amazing pizzas and calzone. Such a surprise. So good. Congratulations, we’ll be back for more! P.S. Pizzas were quite a bit bigger than expected so do a check with staff.
