The Destroyer
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the friendly staff, you are given an amazing menu with fantastic choices. The food was unbelievable, and we had great service from start to end. My only negative was we were offered flat or sparkling water to start with and I said sparkling. It is safe to assume that it is complimentary otherwise one would assume you would be told if it wasn’t. That wasn’t the case at all. When I received the bill I was shocked to see my husband and I were charged $5 each for sparkling water which has probably come out of a Soda stream and not San Pell. I thought this was very sneaky and deceptive and my only disappointment for the night. Perhaps I should have asked if the sparkling water was complimentary or perhaps the waiter should have informed me that it was. I could have argued over the bill and refused to pay it but I let it go this time. We will be back for a meal, but I’ll be having tap water next time.

An amazing meal and fantastic service. The ox tongue melted in my mouth, the half roast chicken fell off the bone and after talking to the waiter about missing good icecream (I’m lactose intolerant), they made up the chocolate coconut icecream with strawberries and pistachios for me.

Blown away by the quality of the food here at Bar Romanee. We had a couple of things to share and they were all so delicious. My partner loved the bread, and the entrees were on point. I can’t wait to come back and try everything else on the menu.

My new go to casual fine dinning restaurant for the area. $90 per head set menu is excellent value in this lively bistro style venue. Highly recommended. Club steak is king.

We dined here on Thursday night for a special occasion, party of 4 adults and a child. We were absolutely blown away by the outstanding food and customer service at this cute little place. It was packed but the servers were so attentive and made sure our wine was flowing and glasses topped up at all times. It was just a gastronomical experience we would absolutely enjoy over and over again! Monty was an amazing host, from the minute I made a reservation over the phone with her to the time we left, she just made this experience flawless. We cannot wait to come back. Thank you team !

Atmosphere was great and the food was cooked to perfection. Every dish we ordered was absolutely tasty but would highly recommend the mushroom risotto and bread with cultured butter. Perfect to bring a date along or with a bunch of friends for a good night out. Definitely will be coming back again!
