This is our favour hidden gem of Kiama! The small plates they serve here are amazing and the menu changes often so there’s always something new to try. The cocktails are outstanding and they do a locals night specials on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

What a hidden gem! I’ve been living in Kiama for 7 months now…was thinking to come in and check this one out but delayed it for months. Wish I did it earlier! Food, service, atmosphere…everything is amazing. My new favourite go to place for a casual dinner or romantic night.

My daughter and I enjoyed Mother’s Day lunch at Bar Padres. The menu was interesting and delicious. Enjoyed a cocktail sitting at a table outdoors with the ocean close by.

Food here is amazing, very fresh. Would definitely recommend the bluefin potato scallops and the tiramisu! 10/10, would go back. The aperol skitz cocktail was also unreal

A surprise little bar we came across whilst driving to the little blowhole, we decided to go there for dinner and drinks. First off, the atmosphere was an interesting balance between fancy and trendy, with the disco ball in the corner and nice background music that wasn’t too loud. The classic cocktails were better than their signature ones. The menu is like Spanish tapas meets fine dining with a few cultural twists, adopting from Japanese and Italian. Some of the dishes are perhaps a bit too creative; I found the rigatoni dish to be a bit like a hodge-podge of different flavours and textures that didn’t necessarily taste bad but also didn’t go together either. We had the $85 Feed Me menu and the highlights were the croquettes, the kingfish on Jatz and the steak. Every dish was beautifully presented, but overall, the taste was good but not exceptional to justify the price point. That said, I would still come again due to the cool vibe and the really lovely staff. Everyone was genuinely helpful, attentive and nice, and I felt like a valued customer.

We love Bar Padres, feel very lucky to have this gem of a bar/restaurant in our town! It never disappoints. Best restaurant/bar in Kiama hands down! All the tapas are delicious especially the crudo… menu changes regularly, which makes it more interesting… Oh and did I mention the spicy ️ Margaritas

Some friends and I enjoyed a phenomenal meal at this hidden gem last weekend; from spectacularly mouthwatering food off a concise but delightfully varied menu to the fabulous service by our waitress and the rest of the team it was a fantastic night out. Padres is a lovely intimate little space and the disco ball is a great addition that really sets the vibe for a funky dining experience (can’t imagine anybody not loving a giant disco ball over the dinner table ) which was only enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff.
