Range of food was better than other zoos. Had healthy options available. Got a burger each, drinks, chicken nuggets and a pack of chips that was enough for two. The service was fast and friendly. Appreciated the ample seating overlooking nearby areas. The big fans helped on the super hot day.

The staff at the cafe made themselves a number of coffees before serving us ours after we paid and were waiting for them. We were shocked to see this as we would expect ours would be the priority, being paid customers. But instead we waited for them to make theirs first. This is just basic common sense in hospitality!

The Caesar salad wraps tasted OK, but we’re very cold from the fridge. Had to wait 15 minutes for them to warm up a bit to enable us to eat.

First visit to Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo and Cafe…. Very large area for ordering food and drinks lots of tables and chairs. Lovely choice of coffee and selection of cakes which I had one of. It was yummy. Lots of Ice cream flavours you can choose from lollies crisps and lots more can be bought. Meals can be ordered to suit all budgets.

Unfortunately our food was cold. Not warm at all. As a family, we grabbed a verity of items. Good set up though. Service was great. Prices were reasonable. Plenty of room to sit to eat.

I ordered a Ham & Cheese toastie, which was okay, and an iced coffee, which was good. My husband ordered a burger & chips, which he said were expensive, cold, and disgusting. Unfortunately, we won’t be recommending the cafe, which was disappointing.
