I recently had the pleasure of dining at Asian Gourmet on the Pier, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The unfussy eatery boasts stunning water views, which only added to the already fantastic dining experience.

I had the worst yamcha experience in my life over the weekend visit. Unclean table settings, officially no dessert menus for yamcha available except fried ice cream, few other yamcha menus not available because they dont have chef(?), very dry and TINY dumplings which tasted like instant dumplings you buy in supermarkets, dont know how they cooked it but all xiao long bao were ripped had holes which meant no juice inside, stir fried veggies were burnt… we usually order endlessly at yamcha but couldn’t continue, left after first around and went somewhere else to finish off lunch. This wasn’t our first visit but dont know what happened in 6mnth period, very disappointing…. The waitress service was alright.

I would be happy to write the review for 满堂 that serves amazing dishes for the honey chicken and bun. Honey chicken was simply divine, with crispy fried chicken pieces smothered in a sticky, sweet honey sauce. Bun was impressive with a soft and fluffy texture.

Highly recommended! ! You can actually eat Kingcrab and Lobster here! These two kinds of seafood are really delicious. They are cooked through Chinese cooking methods and are very fresh and delicious. Their prices are reasonable and their service is good, I like it very much!

This Asian restaurant is in a wonderful location right on the Pier at Hobart Wharf. We were greeted by a friendly and very efficient young man. The decor is really lovely. You can get 25% off if you have an Entertainment Card. There are two special banquet options – $19.90 per person or $39.90. The options are the same. Entree: vegetable spring roll or chicken and sweet corn soup. Mains were pork, chicken and cashews, Mongolian lamb, or sizzling beef. Rice is steamed or fried. For 19.90 each person chooses one of each. For 39.90 each person gets both entrees, two mains and both rices. We chose the 19.90 option which was enough food for both of us. The food was ok. I wasn’t fussed with sweet Mongolian lamb. If you order from the normal menu, mains are around $32 each which I think is a bit steep. However, the pork was not available. They also had no chicken skewers, or orange juice. Would I return? Probably not.

A Cantonese restaurant in Hobart. The decor of the restaurant is traditional. The staff are friendly. Food is generally good. There is very good food such as beef and shrimp dumplings, but for example I am not very used to lamb. Overall, I’d definitely go to this place to try more items on the very long menu.

We called in on the off chance, as it had been quite a while since my last visit. The food was excellent, we picked a number of the chefs specials and enjoyed them. The shot spicy chicken was excellent and throughly enjoyed the duck. Decor perhaps a bit dated

The restaurant was cold and not heated, not a 80spleasant atmosphere on a cold winter night. Only 3 table were occupied, but we had to wait over 2 hours for our main course. The food was ok but over priced. The had only 1 person in the kitchen and one on the floor. Tables were not cleaned and after we left immediately the lights were turned off and the dirty dishes were left on the table. On all of them. The toilets were not cleaned for days, very very dirty. Definitely not going back. The night out ended in a big disappointment
