The service was good but the food was not up to my expectations. Maybe just that the locals don’t have very high standards. At least the prawn meals contained prawns. Lady at the counter need a lesson in manners and courtesy.

It’s clean and comfortable but noisy if there are a few people there. Also our meals (only 2) came out 5 mins apart and then we had to wait even longer for our plate of fried rice which wasn’t hot. The meals were standard, nothing outstanding. The young waitress was so helpful, cheery and worked hard as the only waitress but the owner stayed at the front desk and didn’t even ask if we enjoyed our meal when we paid! No conversation at all. Just a different experience I guess.

Very disappointing food. Don’t know where the other reviews were eating but couldn’t be here! Visited today at lunch and got takeaway garlic beef and fried rice, don’t know what happened to the garlic, but it was missing and the dish tasted like they used sugar instead of salt and other seasonings, very sweet and not at all enjoyable. Fried rice was average at best! Sorry but can’t recommend based on today’s dishes.

Been here twice, both with my husband who went to Anne’s restaurant since he was a little before he moved to Canberra. Great portion, tasty meal, with really reasonable price. We took my brother who came from overseas who also had his belly happy after the meal. We will come back (again) soon.

Tasty food and great service, food always comes out amazingly quickly and there is a bathroom with level access. We find it very yummy and yes we are ex-city people too. Can usually park right out the front.

They don’t allow dining in at the moment due to Covid but we had a wonderful takeaway which was cooked in good time and most very generous in size fresh and very tasty.

Maybe as city slickers we are spoilt for choice for authentic Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese food. Unfortunately I didn’t find the food from Anne’s to be anything close to authentic. Everything was sweet, or salty or oily and the meat was tenderised to the Max. Had one taste of the Thai basil chicken and decided not to put my family through it, it’s going to the bin. Really like to keep an open mind and was not expecting the world from a country Eatery, but you can only bend so much. It’s a big no from me unfortunately. And yes,
