It seemed like a nice local pub in Moree. It was not very buisy on a Tuesday afternoon. Nice outdoor areas, plenty of seating inside and out. The choice of beer on tap is not huge and mostly very common. There is a large selection of meals in the menu. Ordered wedges which was a massive serving with loads of sour cream sweet chilli sauce bits of bacon and cheese. Did not need a dinner after that. Need to explore more serious dining next time.

Had a weekend escape, staying at the Gwydir thermal pools. Amaroo tavern just up the road & convenient. The food was delicious with an open kitchen. It was very busy & all the staff did it with ease. Nice to dine somewhere where people are happy to serve you.

Ordered 1 rare scotch filet with veg and 1 med black Angus with chips and salad. The filet came with chips and salad and the Angus with veg. Both steaks were inedible, tough as old boots and the Angus was rare. $38 & $39 down the drain. Maybe should have ordered the less healthy options…. not. Cheap meat only good for stews!
