Hog’s in Cairns is nestled on a main thoroughfare in the heart of the city. First time coming here. Service was great and friendly. Waited 30mins for our food which was fine as there were a few people there. The food was great, at first I thought it was quite small, the salad and mash potato but I actually got quite full. Will be coming back to try some other delicious food off the menu.

Oh no! This steak is absolutely incredible! Even my steak-hating friends devoured it faster than I did! The restaurant atmosphere, customer service, and the sheer deliciousness of the meal were absolutely flawless. It truly touched my heart! Initially, I only took pictures of the food for amusement, but I never expected to actually share them! The only downside is that since we’re from Darwin, we can’t enjoy it frequently, which makes me feel both anxious and melancholic.

I saw a few reviews that said it was bad since new ownership took over but I still wanted to give it a try. To be honest it wasn’t bad at all very similar to the one I grew up with in Adelaide. Meat was cooked well service was very lovely and good come out in a speedy time. And the bathrooms were really nice and clean which is a bonus.

Sorry but very disappointing. Have been to a few different Hogs Breaths interstate, but not at all happy with our meal tonight. Husbands steak rare when wanted medium, sent back three times. Sauce was mushroom not pepper. My entree was so oily (crumbed mushrooms) that it was inedible. However my steak was great. Service was great and received 1 drink fee for inconvenience. Not sure I would come back or ever recommend.

We were in cairns for 3 nights, we managed to get to hogs breathe twice in this time. The food and staff were both amazing, the customer service was above and beyond, all staff members were generous and kind. The food came out beautiful both times, we couldn’t find any fault. My only regret is that we don’t live in cairns to enjoy this little treasure.

I stumbled across a nice little gem. Food and service were great. The atmosphere is quite quaint, so get in early so you’re not waiting for a table. Prices are very reasonable as well. Mains were the stand-outs. Desserts okay.

Ordered meals via Door Dash, received 2 kids nugget meals which was just a box of 6 nuggets and a sauce….they had no fries. Our steaks were ordered medium rare…and they arrived well done. And the fries were definitely not curly fries!! Have always loved this place but super disappointed with what we received

We had a great family lunch here, 5 stars. We’re locals and were looking for a fun family lunch. Great service, kids meals ( x 3 – burger, nuggets, mac n cheese) were great. The mac n cheese was the best ever! ( true American style) great curly fries, adult Troppo Burger yum, and steak w garlic mushrooms. A great meal, atmosphere and service.
