I came to this restaurant last time and had very good experience. Love the vibes here. I tried Crab & crayfish noodle, eel noodle, pan fried pork bun and tofu with spinach n pumpkin sauce.

Came here during lunch time and it had people at tables but it was the quietest experience I’ve ever had. May have been a one off as customers just didn’t seem talkative but it made it peaceful. There’s a lot of menu items I would actually go back to try as they do intrigue me but the eel dish was just alright for me but the noodles were good. Lady serving was friendly and greeted customers who were curious at the front. The wait times for the food ain’t too bad either.

This place have a cozy atmosphere with some great Shanghainese dishes. Their highlights are their noodle dishes. I tried their eel noodles, sweet & sour spare ribs noodles and stir fried noodles – they all were decadently flavourful and the noodles had a great texture. They have a limited drinks menu but there’s enough variety to get by.

It was my first time trying Shanghainese food, and it didn’t disappoint. I tried the famous crab xiao long bao, and it definitely lived up to the hype. It was incredibly juicy and generously filled with crab meat. Another must-try dish is the pork spare ribs with scallion noodles. The meat was sweet and savory, just perfect for my taste.

The Crab Crayfish Scallion noodles are soooo delicious and addictive! At $42.80, the price is a bit steep but it’s a very big portion and can be shared between two! I would also highly recommend the Handmade Tofu with Spinach in Pumpkin Sauce! This dish is divine and the sweet pumpkin sauce paired so well with the spongy texture of the tofu! Yum!

True Shanghai natives will be pleased with this place. The cooking, the flavours, the ingredients – it’s all completely authentic and the ingredients are fresh. Everything tastes spot-on, right down to the eggs strips in the wonton soup and the sweetness of the soybean drink. The eel noodle soup, in particular, is to die for.

Hey Sydney! Craving Shanghai noodles? I was invited to try the menu at A bowl of noodles in Haymarket. I couldn’t go past their signature crab meat, crab roe and crayfish on shanghai scallion oil noodles. The dish comes with the sauce and noodles separately which you then pour on the noodles and mix through. Beautiful seafood flavours permeate the sauce with fresh al dente noodles. This was a big hit. Beautiful flavours and a memorable dish. We also ordered a signature spinach tofu which are deep fried tofu on a lovely slightly sweet pumpkin sauce. Very good techniques and flavours. We also had 2 types of xiao long baos with plain pork and with crab roe. Beautiful fragrant dumplings. A step above your normal noodle place for sure. Loved it
