A good selection of sushi, salad and small bites to grab-and-go. The prices are affordable and the portions are decent. The service is good as well!

First of all I better tell I’m Japanese native. I visited this stall for lunch. Their food is just a normal fusion Japanese stall and I don’t feel authentic and home to be honest. We ordered Katsu curry and Karaage don. Katsu is crispy and nice. Karaage is a normal but it could be much better. I think it’s good for quick bite but if you want to find authentic Japanese food, not here.

Chicken katsu curry the sauce was very sweet not spicy at all. Think its a veggie based curry. But overall not bad. Pork belly noodles soup was good but the noodles were undercooked. They replaced it promptly. Would I come back? Prbly not but if nowhere to go and craving for rice or noodles not a bad place to eat:)

Tried the Japanese curry, and it’s ok, but found the curry to be too sweet though, never had Japanese curry before this that had a sweet taste to it, and wasn’t to my liking. Portion was ok though. Takoyaki was ok.

I got the gyu don and the presentation was beautiful. Gyu was seasoned exceptionally well and was yummy! I loved the salad and the edamame and orange on the side. brought a lot of colour and balance to the meal. One star less because the rice was a tad bit overcooked. But loved the use of purple rice, it’s a lot healthier and flavourful! Customer service was wonderful too.

I would call it a mix of Japanese and Korean cuisine, so delicious. Portions are large generally and they do have also some little dishes easy to take away like salads or sushi rolls. They have many food options to choose from! The place is small but well decorated, tidy and with many tables. Definitely recommended if you pass in the area!

Come for holiday at Melbourne and searching for a nearby place for breakfast and get Rolling Nori. Tiny comfortable place, good place to have ramen and chicken karaage in the morning. I love the matcha smoothie, good flavour and smooth. Yozu ice with a small drinking straw make me can’t have it well, would recommend seller use a bigger straw for it.

Went to Melbourne for a holiday, searched for the nearest Japanese curry place and found Rolling Nori. Ordered a pork katsu curry, and it did not disappoint. The meal was filling, generous servings and the curry came with sliced oranges which cleans the palate. The egg was gooey and curry served with black rice and red cabbage salad. Can’t wait to come back.

Good quality is great…! Compared to other places doing sushi and don, I rate it. Don was one of the best I’ve had in Melbourne over the years. The Service is provided with a smile and in a friendly manner.
