First time trying the Malatang here. I opted for Stir fry as I didn’t feel like Soup. However, next time (and there will be next time), I’ll get a soup. Other than having plenty of ingredient options as most of these places do, it’s priced about average in comparison. Obviously, this is all determined by weight. An idiot like me, who loads up on heavy veggies, will no doubt pay more . The food was great, just one thing… too salty!!!! I will definitely ask for less or even no salt next time because, for some, perhaps it would be borderline inedible. Fortunately, I loaded up on chilli and fresh herbs and had a coke zero, which lessened the impact of the saltiness. I still demolished the entire 950g bowl I got.

Enjoyed a couple of delicious bowls of soup noodle. Chose the tomato soup and mushroom soup. Kids loved choosing their own ingredients and were very full by the end. Was almost $70 for the 2 bowls but would come again.

Was a little skeptical because of the reviews, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. Never had express malatang before (only the sit down hot pot version where you cook your food yourself at the table) and heard good things so I figured why not try it. Whatever I got turned out to be quite delicious, hot and fresh, nice flavors, and a touch of spice. It was their signature broth, and they have a variety of toppings and sauces to mix in as well. Only down sides were the rather high prices (mine came out to be about $27 for 1 bowl, my husbands was $29, they are large bowls though), as it is priced by weight. And they do need to keep the ingredients topped up, several containers were empty, including in the condiments section. The drink I got was delicious too, even though I have no idea what I got, some kind of sweet tea lol.

Food is amazing. Hard to find a seat around 6pm but that’s to be expected as its around dinner time (also not a major issue since you can get takeaway). I eat there semi-regularly and haven’t had a single bad experience.

Have dined here several times and have mixed things to say. The restaurant seems to be a victim of its own success. It is clean, bright, new, they have a decent range of ingredients, and the staff are friendly, but…
