Missing ethnically Chinese food during my stay in Hobart and this joint satisfied our cravings! The garlic pork slices cold dish is a must get. Mala hotpot is flavourful but the ingredients would not be my top choice (cow stomach, prawn, luncheon meat and vegetables) as I’m not a fan of seafood and processed meat when it comes to Mala hotpot! Nonetheless we had a great time here 🙂

Recommended, good service and nice food. Authentic chilli-oil fish fillet pot which is spicy and tongue-numbing. Lots of fish fillets in the pot and taste so good, good value. Added $5 for my favourite sweet potato noodles.

We tried the ma la hotpot it’s sooooo good! 5/5 recommend if you can take spicy food. Their food is nice in general and the staff is friendly. There’s toilet on site. No wifi available. The setting is really like a Chinese restaurant.

So disappointed! Dined here last night a group of 4. 1 out of 4 of our main dishes was nice. Of the other 3, the chicken wings were teeny tiny and dry, the duck was tough and so many bones! T and the chicken curry dish was completely missed (my dish) I did order an entree, pork dumplings. These were tasty however cold in the middle.

To start, the food is okay, it is not too bad but not authentic, it is like American Chinese food, way too sweet to be authentic. But I really hate how the staff were making hostile comments about the customers. There were two tables of customers at the restaurant, the other table ordered Peking Duck, I was bit surprised because it is such a specialty dish, but then I found out it is actually Cantonese roasted duck not Peking duck, and I was chatting with my partner about that, it perhaps somehow irritated the guy in the counter (I think he is either the chef or kitchen hand), as I heard him talking to the waitress in Chinese “of course we have Peking duck, every Chinese restaurant have Peking duck, don’t you even know that? Are you even Chinese? maybe you are too poor and never ate at a restaurant before” I really don’t know what was wrong with him, maybe he had a bad day but he shouldn’t said any of that. On the other hand, the waitress was really friendly and helpful

Highly recommend the grilled fish. I chose the spicy flavour, which perfectly suits my taste. The pork belly with chilly oil is good too. The pumpkin pies are surprisingly good, it reminds me of my childhood, lol

So missing authentic Asian food in northern New South Wales where the food is average at best. So happy to find authentic Sichuan fare and extra happy when I walked in and found all 20!!! customers were Chinese. Score! Friendly service too. I had cucumber salad, sliced cold pork with ginger and chilli oil and fish flavoured eggplant. All delicious. Glad I didn’t succumb to the fusion Asian restaurant near my hotel

Best Chinese food in Hobart. Have come twice so far and will be sure to come back again. The Team are extremely attentive and friendly and had a great meal on both occasions.

In what seems like the distant past, Chinese take away was often bland and heavy. These days it is flavoursome, light but filling, and fresh tasting…
