DELICIOUS AND AUTHENTIC. This place was so good. We tried almost everything on the menu. The drinks were freshly made and the Greek wine was perfect with the meal. The staff was super friendly and attentive and made our experience enjoyable. Definitely worth a try in Cairnes! The 55$ per person tasting option is one of the best ways to try a little bit of everything.

A great restaurant in Cairns, delicious food that reminded me of my trip to Greece a decade ago. It took me back to that unique Greek hospitality and amazing flavours & textures. I’m so happy to have found it in the first few days of our holiday to be able to go again before we left. I wish we had something like this in every big city in Australia.

Had a wonderful time at Yaya’s tonight and managed to walk in for dinner without reservation 🙂 we tried the eggplant dip, octopus, the lamb shank, and had the Baklava ice cream for dessert. Each dish was delicious but our favourites has got to be the lamb shank (the meat literally fell off the bone) and the baklava ice cream. Cannot recommend this restaurant more for its exceptional service & delicious food.

My partner and I dined here last night (4th Sep 2023). We didn’t have a booking, but staff member Valentino told us to come back in half an hour to accommodate us. We did and he had a lovely table for us right on the balcony overlooking the Esplanade! Gold star service, we were very grateful. We shared chargrilled calamari for entree (delicious!) and mains were lamb souvlaki (honestly best we have ever had) and fish of the day which was barramundi (very nice). The side salad and lemon potatoes were tasty and complemented well. We then chose Yaya’s special bougatsa dessert and our taste buds were dancing once again. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food came out quickly despite the busy evening. It was well worth the cost, especially when you are sharing, which is what Mediterranean culture is about. Highly recommend and grazie mille/efharisto Valentino for squeezing us in, we will definitely be back next time we holiday in Cairns!

We were out and about without a plan, wanting to go with the flow. Craving Greek, we tried our luck and walked into Yaya’s. Thankfully, we managed to score a table, as it was very busy and the walk-ins behind us missed out! I’d recommend booking in future.

We went here on Saturday night and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the staff were efficient, interactive and friendly and the place was overall very lively. One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in Cairns. Great venue for family and larger groups. It is an absolute must if you are ever in Cairns! I highly recommend it 🙂

Fantastic hospitality by Costa and team, that really made us feel at home and welcome! We came on Friday night and had the food pictured, we were so full, we didn’t have room for dessert – so we came back the next night for dessert and without prompting/booking Costa called us in by name and seated us immediately. 10/10 food, hospitality and warm ambience! Must visit when in Cairns! Yasou!
