I went tonight and I left amazed. I have been to a plethora of different restaurants from fine dining to moderate range – but no restaurant has mastered the art of impeccable and seamless customer service while seeming effortless and not smothering their guests.

A funky modern twist on Japanese cuisine in the heart of Melbourne! Tucked away from the main street, you’re welcomed with neon signs and upbeat music! We absolutely loved our time here! Such a lively atmosphere with patrons looking like they are enjoying themselves! Everyone who worked there were polite too! We were promptly shown to our table and I would have liked it if our waitress would have walked us through the menu/ordering. Our dishes were well timed and they were all delicious, packed flavour! My favourite were the oysters and the beef tartare! The prices are on the higher end however it’s worth it. Our server forgot our drink order and we had to remind them to top up waters for the table. This is my second time and would definitely visit again!

Everything we ate was delicious. The crispy eggplant was the pick though. It’s a bit pricey but they have an exciting menu.

Price was expensive for portion size. Dishes were hit and miss. The cocktails were really good though, and the restaurant was really nice inside. The music is quite loud but has cool vibes.

A good place for a night out with friends, probably too loud for a date night. Food is decent. However, feels like they are overpriced as the portion is small for the price. Highlight of the meal was the octopus for us. The corn cob is also good but sushi were just okay.

Yakimono restaurant in Melbourne is a true gem. I nearly didn’t go due to some of the poor google reviews, however I wanted to make my own opinion of the place. The ambiance and vibe are simply enchanting, with warm neon lighting, stylish decor, and upbeat music creating an Tokyo night life setting. The food is outstanding, with a diverse menu showcasing both traditional and modern Japanese dishes. Every bite bursts with vibrant flavors, and the presentation is very cool. Favourites were the charcoal edamame, the octopus, the sushi, sashimi and the yakitori style meat. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, providing excellent recommendations. Will definitely be back.

Probably one of the most hyped up new restaurants last year – the restaurant is pretty massive, spanning across two floors in a super fun and energetic neon-lit space Diners are seated around a large central open kitchen where you can watch the chefs in action

It’s like being in downtown, Tokyo! Incredible, bangin’ vibe, awesome music we were Shazam-ing the tracks constantly throughout dinner! The food was magnificent beautifully presented with an awesome modern twist to Japanese food! We tried to stick with a seafood theme, the majority of the night and a definitely didn’t disappoint! Been here a couple of times now, and you always have to start with the Edamame and wasabi dip with the charcoal crackers! Omg so flavoursome!

Nice atmosphere but with the mix of density of people and volume of the music was hard to hear one another across the table. Great variety on the menus, but we stuck to some basics, and nothing blew us away, however nothing was terrible either.
