I went here 3 times so far. To be honest, I’m not a fan of their skewers. However, I’m a huge fan of their stir-fried squid and tomato scrambled-eggs. Simple Asian home food but very special and satisfying. Also, the white rice is always perfectly cooked.

Good Chinese skewer restaurant. Lots of selection of meats and veggies. They have a small griddle with a small candle to keep the food warm. Spicy levels are also not too bad for less spicy options. The price was a bit on the higher side.

Nice restaurant which opens late, with plenty of seating and dining options. It’s on the expensive side (around $50pp for a group of 4) but we found the skewers tasty, the service efficient and the location convenient. The only downside was that the BBQ is all cooked in the kitchen, with a platter to keep it warm on your table, so not a real BBQ experience. Personally I liked not having to cook it myself. Staff were helpful if we had to ask them anything

3rd visit here! One of the few eateries around mascot station that opens late. They have alcohol, skewers and a huge menu of Chinese dishes. I can recommend the mala fish for a rainy day (if you like mala and are fine with chilli oil!). The one in this picture is a similar dish but with sauerkraut – also spicy and comforting but I prefer the mala version we just had this with rice so take care not to over order too much as it’s a huge portion

The food is so tasty! Just a bit too spicy for some dishes but still great. Little bit deceiving with the barbecue sign on the window although as my friend pointed out they do a lot of barbecue in the kitchen to avoid the smoke. It’s a different style of BBQ making famous in Asian culture still very tasty food. Bench seats are little bit ordinary but all in all good food but be careful quite spicy at times and amount could be too much each dish. Quite enjoy will come again.

The restaurant is comfortable, looks clean and service is ok. Went at lunch time and we were the only table there. The food is avg. There is a fake gimmicky hotplate which you don’t get to cook on. And it’s powered by 2 tealights, so it doesn’t even keep the food warm. The skewers are all covered in cumin and start to taste all the same after a while. And come out deep fried and quite dry. Was disappointing they weren’t grilled over goal.

One of new eateries at Mascot area near the train station; The place looks great; I have not tried the BBQ food but so far the lunch menus is pretty good

I guess the boss should be glad that I can‘t give negative scores in google map. Half an hour after ordering, the waiter realized that there was something missing, but did not do anything about it properly. We were told that the food we wanted was sold out only after we asked, and most importantly, we didn’t offer any apologies at all. Overall this is a disgusting dining experience, Western Legend BBQ is the worst restaurant in Sydney.

Love it here, food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Have come back multiple times. The chicken, lamp, beef and pork sticks with fried rice and the cucumber salad are our staples.

Garlic chive is very tough… But flavor is great. Pig kidney is very tough and lacks flavor. I highly recommend beef tendon which is very tender and sticky. Chicken skeleton is also great. Beef wrapped enoki and octopus tentacles are a must have. Lamb skewer is ok, could be more charred. I think they have the best seasoning among Chinese bbq places around Sydney. Only downside is the high price. This is street-food in China but certainly no street-food price here…
