Used to be called Wagaya, we came after the place got “renovated” but looks like not much has changed in the interior? Came to give the food another go because of the liven deal but for $212 worth of food, it wasn’t too amazing. The sushi and sashimi were okay, not super fresh. Chicken kaarage was a bit burnt and bitter for some reason even though it was delicious the last time we came. Wagyu steak and wagyu skewers were not tender at all and actually too chewy. Eel rice was okay but nothing special, just eel on rice. Mentai spaghetti was a bit tooo fishy but ok. The duck breast was pretty good but sauce tasted very marmitey and overpowering. The service and atmosphere of the place is really good though, super attentive and helpful staff with food that comes out fast.

I had a fantastic dinner at Wakuda. The food is delicious and the waiter could provide comprehensive dietary information for those with requirements. The service was lovely and everything came out promptly. The booth setting is nice for groups and there’s nice ambient music playing to at to the atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
