Vinnies has become my lunchtime treat. I have tried Mr Deng, Harbour Palace, PhoenWong but nothing comes close to the Garlic King Prawns and fried rice at Vinnies for taste and value. $14.50 including a drink is rare value today. Stick with it Vinnie, the word will get out with quality like this.

Thought i shout myself and my hubby Chinese food tonight for our dinner so I spent $91.00 on food from this store and this is what we got burnt fried rice and the rest of the meal was cold I had to microwave the meal once I put it all on the plates to warm it back up very very disappointment as we have used this shop for a while know my husband rang the owner the owner does not wish to do anything about the problem we could not even eat the fried rice as it had a burnt taste though the whole dish and the owner would not do anything to fix the problem not even compensate at least half the money back just to bad ,my food is never cold he says but it was cold and it was not good so after spending $91.00 of this food tonight and the owners attitude to go with it for not fixing the problem does not go very well with me so that’s the end of our Chinese from this shop which is sad as well I have also seen the owner spitting on the ground while he is having a smoke while sitting in the gutter outside of the shop that is disgusting as well so for the owner not fixing our problem I think my husband is going to take the matter further with the health department and the price is just outragous . I feel the owner is not very nice when i raised problem with his food. Not buying from there ever again

No atmosphere, dry food!! 30 minutes of calling their restaurant with no answer, finally after my call being answered 35 minutes later I was told 15 minutes for pickup, which sounded ok. However, when arriving 25 minutes after call was placed (allowing time to have the order completed) I was told “its not ready yet, probably 5 minutes” I waited a further 15 minutes till a customer came in and asked to collect the exact same order I placed, to which this customer was given fresh food from the kitchen. When I approached the staff to suggest I have the same order, why has it not been completed? The staff went back to look in their brocoli box to find my order, which had been sitting for over 40 minutes. Never again, would much rather pay $15 for delivery than buy from vinnies master wok $50 better off thrown away.

Honest review. In the past the food has been hit and miss. After the health code violation last year we gave them a massive miss. Decided to try again and was pleasantly surprised. Had chicken and cashew, satay chicken, fried rice and some prawn chips. All of it was tasty and onion was kept to a minimum. Prawn chips were fresh and crispy. Only negative was some of the chicken pieces were very large. Hopefully they can keep this standard up. Update Oct 2022. They now charge for the takeaway containers and also a credit card surcharge. Taking a star off but food is still fine.

No idea why this has good reviews. Noone here must know what good chinese food actually is. And this is not it. Ordered from here a few times and giving them another chance but has constantly failed. Food is tasteless and bland. I had the “chefs special” Malaysian chicken curry, chicken was like rubber and literally had little to no taste whatsoever. If you’re going to charge big city prices then atleast give big city standards!
