While we had absolutely no expectations for Hainanese chicken in Adelaide, it tasted alright. Portion was good, chicken was still tender, and I love the idea that I can choose my preferred cut. The Laksa soup was flavorful too.

Came here as my usual chicken and rice place in the Adelaide Market’s Food Court is no longer and was really looking forward to having some chicken and rice. They ran out of traditional, so I ordered the crispy skin version. Everything was nice.. I do prefer the dipping sauce from the old place I went to though. Service is good, friendly and quick. Would come back for sure when next in Adelaide.

My wife is Asian, she has high standards for this kind of food, and she finished before I was half done, which never happens. Needless to say, the chicken is done well, tender, and the rice has a great flavor too. The thing that stands out most to me is the sauces, a rich and powerful flavor. There’s also a number of additional herbs and bean shoots that come with the dish, so you have plenty of interest in taste to go with what’s normally a fairly simple dish.

Best Hainanese chicken rice outside of Malaysia! Love the authentic chicken, and the ginger sauce is so yummy! Free crackers is such a good touch, you’ll never regret coming here. Seating is limited, but it’s worth the wait. Or takeaway. Highly recommended, and beer is available. Tee the chef is amazing!
