Drove 2 hours from mine just to try Victoria’s best fish and chip shop and it did not disappoint. We had a gummy, prawns, calamari and scallops paired with their homemade tartar sauce. Also had full crayfish salad which was meaty and fresh for $45. Their batter was what made it different to other fish and chip shops. A bit soggy though. Wait times were a bit long and you really had to pay attention when waiting for your order to be called outside. Other than that, most people eat at the park across from the shop and it’s literally a stone throw away from the beach. Heaps of free parking nearby. Beware of the seagulls. I think the seagulls outnumbered the people in Queenscliff that day. I would recommend a visit if you’re in the Geelong area.

Drove down from melbourne to try “Victoria’s best fish and chips”. Fantastic service all round, fish and chips are ok but certainly not the best in Victoria. Worth a visit to find out for yourself, long waiting times so plan ahead 🙂

We were doing the tourist thing and driving through Queenscliff looking for something to eat. We decided on pizza but couldnt get a park. When we drove around the corner we spotted Trident Fish Bar – Victoria’s Best Fish and Chips. We thought well we better stop here and decided to try Victoria’s best fish and chips rather than the trusty pizza that we probably should have.
