I was upset by manager abuse for wanting to buy an extra component that is not written on the menu. Public expects a venue can try politely providing it flexibly and easily, so customer is satisfied, rather than be publicly humiliated as a customer (!?) for a desiring to pay for a simple extra and being told by staff (!?) what they should and will have, including when wanting salt evenly spread rather than caked only on one end with none on the other; squashing a fluffy croissant to death in a heavy press to heat it; mushy peas poured over a pie not under the sliced lid etc etc, and resent learning to do it properly as usually done worldwide. I am used to living in high quality areas, so this is a shock against professional hospitality, especially being a regular supporter of the business. Never seen such before until I began living so far from the city.

Don’t ask for a salad roll, even though all the signage out front and on the road advertise them. They cling wrap over the salad items to use the next day at 1:30pm and the staff refuse to take it off to make one. What customer service! This has happened to me multiple times. Lovely service and great product. Perfect local bread shop and all round cafe snack bar. Pumpkin ricotta pastries are amazing. That is until they stopped having pumpkin ricotta pastries, until they sell pumpkin ricotta pastries but slip salty vegetable pasties in the bag instead. Until they lie to your face, make you wait 10 minutes and instead of owning their lie, send you away with an incorrect order. Life is too short to have to check your order every time you buy something then have an awkward conversation when it’s incorrect. One job, you had one job.
