The Royale Brothers is our homage to the all-American art form of flipping patties: we punched a hole in our back wall and started handing out real burgers, handmade like they should be – grilled to perfection, dripping with melty cheese and smothered between two toasted sides of a fresh bun. Boy howdy. And because we all scream for ice-cream, we smashed another hole in the wall and created Lickings Fine Ice Cream – Brighton’s own ice-cream parlor. Simply put: burgers, ice-cream, fried chicken, thickshakes. Hungry? We got you.
Buzzy burger counter serve with outside seating, plus pickle jars and an adjacent ice cream counter.

Burger was nicely cooked, didn’t have any sort of seasoning on the patty or uniqueness bit it was good. They didn’t have the fish burger which I had come for.

The best burger I’ve had in ages. I thought royal stacks was good but this is elevated. The meat to fat ratio of the burger is impeccable, the bun, bacon and most notably the sauces. I even went back to have their royale joker which is a quadruple patty, triple bacon, triple cheese saucy heart attack in a plate. I loved it. Get amongst it.

Tasty burgers with a great flavor of grilled. Busy shop, time of waiting could be long.

Enjoyed some ice cream on a super balmy Saturday night and appreciated that not only do they allow testers they are actually quite generous spoons. Equally sizeable are the servings! I tried the peanut butter marshmallow which I really liked but it was quite sweet so I settled on mango which was really fruity with actually chunks of fruit. Card surcharge which I don’t care for and not a huge variety of flavours but otherwise yum

My partner and I love burgers and this has to be by far one of our favourite places. The burgers were delicious. Sizing was great, ingredients were fresh and overall the taste was delicious.

Had the Bacon Royale Burger which is very good. It is very cheesy and tasty. The burger patty has a nice char which makes it crispy on the outside. However, the patty is thin so it’s cooked well done and is a bit dry.

This burger joint is local to us and I tried it for the first time this week. I read some pretty poor reviews on TripAdvisor which concerned me but nevertheless I wanted to make my own mind up. I wasn’t disappointed. I dispatched my mother-in-law to order, pay and bring the bacon royale with fries back to my table about 8 mins walk away. It arrive and the first bite was a little lukewarm as can be be explained so I put it with the fries in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. It came out piping hot and didn’t affect the textures at all. A highly satisfying heavyweight handful of dirty burger. It was great. The fried too where crunchy and nicely seasoned, even after their short blitz in the micro. Mother in law had the chicken burger , she said it was very good.

Royale with cheese and the bacon variant were both tasty, isn’t really a sit down kind of place as all seating is outside.

Seriously tasty fried chicken burgers are very hard to go past. Not over the top, but focusing (and excelling) on the core aspects of a damn good sandwich.
