Hi, I love the food here but can only give 3 stars due to how many times I phone for takeaway only to be told I’m not allowed to place it due to the employee on the phone not being educated in how to. If I can be shown ANY way to order a pickup I am happy to change review to 5 stars as this the only major issue I have with The Local Shack is I can rarely order them due to not ever having time to go in-store and wait during peak hours. I’d normally just order takeaway but they’ve made that option currently impossible (Local Shack don’t offer it on Uber Eats etc either, I’ve tried everything).

We have just had dinner at the local shack in forestfeild around 530pm 02/2023 , the food was so yum and so fast. my son has autism , and he was stimming after his food, another costumer made a rude comment to us, the young man server come over and appoigise for the rude man, and understood what my son was doing, I didn’t get his name but I felt so thankfull for his amazing gesture!!! He even told us to come back any time !! The best service we have ever had in that situation! I cannot Thank you enough good man!!! I wish I could give him 50 stars

Ordered potato skins from them several times via Uber Eats. First time dining in person last night–had a wonderful time. The staff was quirky and responsible, and the food was delicious. Not to mention, the atmosphere is fun with Jenga for entertainment at the booths and a billiard table. They also had the music on at a moderate (read: normal) level so you could still have a conversation. Highly recommend for a casual night out with the family or a get together with friends. They also have plenty of outdoor seating. (And the potato skins are truly American style, with sour cream and bacon–if they added in some green onion, I’d have felt like I was back in the US at TGI Fridays.)

I’ve been here a lot, five stars for heart. This place seems to have it’s challenges, it’s often either dead or the staff are run off their feet with new faces doing their utmost and if you’ve got a problem just let them know and they’ll sort it out.
