Nice little cafe run by a lovely couple. Went here for breakfast while we stayed at a nearby hotel. Although the place is small they have so many food options including plenty of vegetarian options. All the food is well presented and comes with a side of pretzels and a piece of fruit. The price is a bit on the expensive side but the portions are big enough that we had to skip lunch.

After a few years since my last visit to Launceston, I was very surprised with finding this cosy Cafe. The Flying Sparrow Cafe is located in the corner of the block and its very cosy with some outdoor seating. Peter and Anastasia was very friendly and the food was well balanced in flavours. The tomato relish worked perfectly with the sausage roll and the lemon tart had the right amount of zesty flavours. Highly recommend and will be back in the future

The couple who ran the cafe are lovely and from the Melbourne cafe scene said they moved for somewhere quieter. I came with my friends and they personally went through the menu with us (top tier service!). I ordered a coffee and a pastry and to my surprise and delight, the coffee came with a small cookie and the pastry came with pretzels and pear slices (although my friends only got pretzels).

Absolutely adore this quaint little café. I cannot express enough how lovely the owners Peter and Anastasia are. Their customer service is so genuine, friendly and sweet. They take care to remember their customers and ask after them. The coffee and food is exceptional, and their generosity is so rare and special. Thank you so much Peter and Anastasia. We love you!

Just WOW. We slept overnight in Launceston & needed breakfast and coffee and saw the incredible reviews for this cafe. Stopped in and we were blown away by the incredible service, friendly conversation and delicious assortment of food. We got the lamb pie and pork & fennel sausage roll – would highly recommend this combo! And chai and latte was also very delicious. The owners are so polite and welcoming, and made us feel right at home, a little bit of effort goes a long way. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mainlanders need to learn a thing or two from this couple! We will be back for sure. (Also the garden out the back was immaculate, kudos to the gardener in charge.) Love from Tegan and Andy x

Such a fabulous breakfast! The options, service, flavours, all of it; there is a lot of care shown in the details and through our overall experience. Outdoor seating only, with a few small tables. We were a group of four with various choices for food and coffee and every one of us had a Five Star experience.

We went for quick hot drinks and we were absolutely not disappointed: the service is top-notch and the drinks tasted really great! The hot chocolate is actually made with high-quality cocoa.
