A wonderful evening in a beautiful cottage in Scone. The menu made it hard to choose with almost every entree something you wanted to taste – the gin cured trout and venison terrine were divine. The restaurant is known for its beef and the rib eye bone in was mouthwatering with quinoa and kale salad and the brussel sprouts to die for. Must leave room for dessert next time!. The chef Colin Selwood a master and Tammy front of house fabulous. Thank you @TheCottage for a great night.

We really enjoyed the food – the souffle & terrine entrees were delicious though bigger than expected, & our mains were also very tasty. The staff member assigned to our table was very friendly & attentive. We had an early booking so there were only 3 other small tables seated during our entrees. The ambience & noise levels became less pleasant however, as the restaurant filled up with several tables with larger parties. Overall a pricey special occasion dining venue.

We went to The Cottage for the first time today. We were looking for somewhere that serves soup as my Grandfather is on a liquid diet following surgery. They were very accommodating and served the soup without the garnishes so my grandfather was able to eat it, it was delicious and exactly what he needed. The coffee was one of the best I’ve had. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in Scone.

The service this morning was wonderful. I am glad they let us order food even though we were there after 11 and they were closing at 12. We sat outside and it was lovely looking at the trees and vines climbing the walls and ceiling on the veranda. Very comfy chairs and a great vibe.

New favourite restaurant! Brussels sprouts done sweetly. A quinoa and kale slaw was a revelation. Venison was tender and juicy. Can’t wait to go again.
