I have been visiting several restaurants and cafes around the South West Rocks area of late and next up was ‘The Bouys Restaurant’. We visited at around 9:30am on a Saturday morning and the place was fairly quiet (~6 other people) first thing we noticed was the prices were quite high ($8.50 for a bacon and egg roll, $6.50 for an iced chocolate) my partner ordered a pineapple juice and some granola. Service was ok but nothing spectacular. Food was also average however serving sizes very small. All up came to $35. Probably would not return however very interested to try the ‘Malt and Honey’ cafe up the road that seemed to be packed! Onto the next one.

Great location with beach views and really reasonable prices for straightforward meals. Don’t let the decor fool you, this place is not to be missed! Quick service with a smile and did not charge extra for additional ingredients in the breakfast wrap. Husband got the salmon eggs benni which was pretty good. Coffee was decent. Dog friendly seating outside as well.

We walked past this place on our first couple of days in South West Rocks and thought like ‘sheep’ – not many in here so went to other places where there were a lot of people. Should have thought for ourselves. We finally dined here for dinner, meals were fantastic and too the service. Best steak I had in ages. Had dinner for two on Saturday evening at 7pm. We both had the herb crusted Barramundi and scallop potatoes with veg. Delicious. Service was acceptable given two other 10 place tables going at the time. Would come back and try other things there too.

Slow service and food delivery , breakfast was lovely but not everyone was happy. 11 people at our table. 50/50 as far as 3 to 4 on stars. Pancakes were burnt but kids so hungry by time they came out they ate them regardless.

What a great way to start the morning! I enjoyed my delicious scrambled eggs on toast with an amazing sea view. The value for money is good, especially the 10 @ 10am breakfast. The service was outstanding, very friendly and courteous.

Had breakfast by the sea view window with my girlfriend and was a beautiful experience, service was really amazing and food was delicious. Prices were good value for the meals we enjoyed. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are enjoying some time at South West Rocks.
