As a Tradie driving all over Melbourne craving charcaol chicken, I have become a bit of charcoal chicken connoisseur. The team at Tasty and Tender guys are the best I have found. The chicken is moist and tender, the chips are perfect, (we often just order chips to add to meals), Their coleslaw is the perfect balance of mayonnaise and slaw and the schnitzels are the best. They wont disappoint you. We go there once a week.

Bought a whole BBQ chicken. Got it home and it was very dry. It had a hard casing of meat just under the skin that was hard to chew. Must have been sitting there for a while. It is a pity because the guy would of known this and the bits that I could eat was nice.

Recently ordered takeaway salad and chips (June, 2022). The chips tasted like bits of cardboard. Obviously the chips had been sitting there a LONG time. I’ve bought chips from this place before, and they were good. Apparently, times are tough in the chips business. The solution is not to lower your quality. The solution is to increase prices and maintain the quality. Why would anyone deliberately pay money for stale chips? I will keep looking for better chips in this area. Seems like nobody wants to do them properly.

discussing place to eat, both times we got chips and gravy from this place there were bugs in the gravy and many moldy chips. the chicken is often severely under cooked and has given me food poisoning both times I’ve eaten it. I strongly recommend not getting chips or chicken from this place.

Was accidentally overcharged, I realised later that night. The bloke was apologetic and refunded it without hassle after the weekend. Very good service. The chicken, chips and gravy were all amazing too
