Being a big fan of Tarte Burleigh Heads, we had to try Tarte Beach House. Arriving at 11:30am, a queue was expected especially on opening weekend. The lovely hostess welcomed each and everyone waiting eagerly to get a table. Continual updates were provided and wait times advised. Her friendly personality and her continually checking in to provide us with updates made the wait seem not so long. Within 15 mins we were seated. We appreciated the view of the river and the open windows allowed a pleasant breeze to flow through on a beautiful sunny day.. we were advised of the wait time for food and we were not concerned as it was obviously very busy. My wife and I settled for some delicious strawberry tarts and a soft buttery croissant with a refreshing watermelon juice and tasty hot chocolate and cappuccino whilst our daughter opted for the fish and chips.

I just loved this place. Really good space, nice view, pet friendly, really nice and friendly staff, always with a smile and creating a really conforting atmosphere. The coffee was great and the food was stunning. I had the B&E, and it is a really tasty way to have this popular dish. My partner had the club bagel and just loved the mix of flavours. My dog had a puppyccino and it was perfect. I also tried the passionfruit tart and it is a must!! For sure I’ll be back.

My friend and I visited Tarte for the first time today with our two toddlers. We are both heavily pregnant and thought we’d treat ourselves to lunch here, even though we had our two energetic little sidekicks with us. I was nervous at first as it is such a beautiful restaurant and I didn’t want to disturb anyone, but after being seated in a booth and being given colouring-in pencils and books for our toddlers, along with so much kindness from the staff, we were both able to relax and enjoy the experience. Not only did the food live up to its hype, the service was honestly the best I’ve received in a very long time! Every staff member we spoke to was kind and accommodating, and truly made our experience such an enjoyable one (which I’m sure anyone with a toddler would agree can be challenging)!
