This hidden restaurant is serving seriously delicious food. We had sea flood platter for two – everything was flesh and cooked so well. The person sitting next to us had enormous steak with shrimps on top – looked soooo good either. Definitely going to come back!

Just arrived in Geraldton and found George’s Bistro nearby. I ordered a Parmi while my partner had butterfly Snapper. Both meals were excellent and the Chef came to our table to check on his food. The Parmi was the biggest chook I’ve ever seen (photo proves that). Had to get a doggie-bag and made 3 meals out of it. Beautifully cooked in the pizza oven.

The restaurant attached to the tavern….The most amazing food!! And the servings are huge. We loved it so much we went both nights we were in town! Service is awesome. Such friendly and happy staff. Will definitely be going back next time we’re in Geraldton. Highly recommend!!

I was truly disappointed today in just how much this place has gone so downhill. I have visited only once before where there were friendly faces to greet me, incredible food such as “home made” pasta and Ragù to accompany it. I arrived today, with that expectation in mind and unfortunately, the two employees behind the bar didn’t approach me or even look at me until I spoke up as I was curious to why they had a sign that says “wait to be seated” if they weren’t interested in doing so… I was bought a menu that had meals crossed off with permanent maker and no where near the options that I expected. I made a decision to order some Oysters Kilpatrick whilst I looked over the menu a little more and with only one other table occupied I didn’t expect them to take as long as what they did. When the Oysters finally arrived, they looked great so I was hopeful however, I was so very wrong. They were that bad that I even had to spit a few back onto the plate which is something that I just don’t do. Whilst eating, I also witnessed a line of men in fluoros being given a tour of the tavern which was incredibly disrespectful to the guests trying to enjoy a lunch. All I hope is that this gives a little insight to others wishing to visit as there are plenty of other pubs in town that offer way better food and service.
