Another Merivale restaurant of course it’s going to be good. The service was fantastic and food was okay but nothing you couldn’t find at other Japanese eateries. The otoro was nothing special it didn’t really melt in your mouth like usual.

We tried a few things: sushi, karage, beef – all good and tasty, nothing too memorable though.

We enjoyed most of everything! The chefs are skillful, friendly, and cautious with the request for our shellfish allergic guest. Sashimi was fresh, in a nice and thick cut. It was overall good but I have to agree with some of the reviewers, good but not mind-blowing. The wait staff service could be better in explaining the menu, introducing the food that was served, and perhaps let us know what the complimentary mini birthday dessert was.

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Sushi e. The Wagyu Uramaki was nothing short of amazing – it was so tender and flavorful. The No.1 non-alcoholic cocktail was the perfect accompaniment to my meal – it was refreshingly delicious!

Very fresh seafood. There’s option to add salmon belly to sashimi set. The signature cocktails are lovely with a Japanese flair.

The place was nice but the staff was not friendly at all and was quiet grumpy! Even though it was not a busy day the service was not great at all!

Me and my partner had a lovely experience dining a la carte for 2. The ambiance gives the space a modern vibe of fast casual dining with an exciting feel.

Quality of ingredients was top notch, but overall the place is a little dated. Vibe is ok and the service is average. Food was good, but not worth the 4x price of a normal sushi restaurant. It felt like a sushi train with better ingredients and dim lights.
