Went there with couple of mate who are from Sichuan, and they told me the foods were authentic. I too think that the food was extremely great and it was really spicy. My personal favourite was the tofu with beef. The flavour was on point. If you are not a big fan of spicy food, there was a dish with eggplant which was extremely sweet. Would have given this place 5 stars, but the serving time was like 15 min interval between each dish.

This restaurant was a random tryout, had the feeling to try some Chinese food, but it was a complete waste of money.

Good hotpot soup and Chinese hot spicy base options, the menu offers extensive selection for add-ins like meat and vegetable. Enjoyed the broth, especially in cold weather! Good service as staff remains attentive when soup needs topping up. Only complaint is that it’s pricey. Would come again for future hotpot craves.

Warning if you’re not a fan of numb chilli Mala, then this is not your place. Everything is super numbing but not a pleasant way for us. Only dish worth mentioning was lamb ribs & sweet n sour pork. The cold noodle dish was by far the worst we’ve tried. Decor was nice & clean, service was good.

An enjoyable Szechwan food experience. Tasty tofu curd and braised beef with smooth mouthfeel. Piquant eggplant has sweet and sour flavor, which is appetizing to serve with rice. The boiled bok choy in chicken soup is so nutrient and scrumptious. The only suggestion is that the braised fish could be less saulty with less zanthoxylum added. Satisfactory meal, one of the best Szechwan restaurants around Chinatown.

First pork dish Was insanely spicy but that wasn’t the wrist of it for me, it was predominantly bones. Sweet and sour pork was fairly good. The rice was delicious. Best part of the meal. Service without a smile is the thing here and fairly slow.

This comment is for Szechuan food (ground floor) only. I do normally not come back to the same restaurant as I would like to explore something new, but China Chilli is the only one I have been visited over dozens of times in the past few years since I lived in Adelaide. It used to be negatively impacted by a very rude female manager, but since that lady has gone, this restaurant is back to my top recommendation for very authentic Szechuan food. And the food never fails me at any time.

Waited around 1 hour for the food, disappointed with the flavour and not really good service. Not very busy but the cook really slow. Also, expensive. I wouldn’t come again….
